Therapy for individuals and couples navigating complex relationship dynamics and life transitions.
Supporting high-functioning clients through relational challenges where clarity, stability, and decision-making matter most.
You may be used to holding everything together — managing responsibilities, relationships, and expectations — while something underneath feels unresolved.
On the surface, things may appear steady, but internally there can be a sense that something is misaligned, unclear, or unsustainable.
Whether you’re navigating tension in your relationship, a major life transition, or uncertainty about what comes next, therapy offers a space to step back, gain clarity, and begin making more intentional decisions.
Amber Johnson, LPC, MAMFT
I work with individuals and couples navigating complex relational dynamics — including communication challenges, emotional disconnection, and the impact of financial stress and power within relationships.
My approach is grounded in systemic and relational therapy, taking into account not only emotional and relational patterns, but also how stress and lived experiences impact the body and overall sense of stability.
Together, we focus on identifying patterns, strengthening boundaries, and creating meaningful, sustainable change.
Therapy Services
Individual Therapy
I work with high-achieving individuals navigating burnout, relational patterns, financial and emotional stress, and periods of overwhelm — often while maintaining significant responsibility in other areas of life.
This work is focused, collaborative, and designed to support meaningful, sustainable change. It may also include navigating financial trauma, coercive dynamics, and rebuilding a sense of autonomy after complex relational experiences.
Couples Therapy
I work with couples navigating communication challenges, intimacy concerns, and trust-related issues, including periods of disconnection within the relationship. This includes conflict resolution, rebuilding trust, and strengthening overall connection.
This work is collaborative and direct, focused on helping both partners understand patterns, improve communication, and create a more intentional and sustainable relationship. It may also include addressing intimacy, both emotional and physical, including concerns related to desire, performance, and the impact of stress or life transitions. This work is best suited for couples who feel safe engaging in the process and are committed to mutual accountability and growth.
Focused Work: Financial Betrayal & Power Dynamics
I also have a particular focus on working with individuals navigating financial betrayal, coercive dynamics, and complex power imbalances within relationships.
This work often involves helping clients process what has occurred, rebuild a sense of autonomy and stability, and make clear, informed decisions about what comes next.
When these dynamics are present, I work with individuals rather than the couple to ensure appropriate care and support.
Coaching is designed for individuals navigating financial betrayal, power dynamics, or complex relational experiences who are ready to move forward with clarity and intention.
This work is structured and forward-focused, centered on decision-making, boundary development, and rebuilding a sense of autonomy and stability.
Coaching is typically offered as a short-term package, with a limited number of extended sessions available.
Coaching is not a substitute for therapy.
COACHING & STRATEGIC SUPPORT
Reclaim is a structured group experience designed for individuals navigating the emotional and practical aftermath of financial betrayal.
This work focuses on helping you process what has happened, understand patterns of control and power, and begin rebuilding a sense of autonomy, clarity, and stability.
Through a combination of guided discussion, reflection, and practical tools, Reclaim creates a space for both understanding and forward movement — without having to navigate this experience alone.

how i work
The patterns we develop around relationships, trust, and money don’t happen in isolation, they are shaped over time and often operate outside of our awareness.
Therapy is not just about what we think — it’s also about how we experience stress, relationships, and patterns within the body. Our work will consider both emotional and physiological responses, creating a more grounded and integrated approach to change.
This work is active, collaborative, and focused on meaningful change — not just insight.
